Captainverse is the community chosen name for the continuity built by event stories in Honkai Impact 3rd. These stories are a separate continuity from the main story’s timeline, and center around a character called ‘Captain’. The semi-official name for this series of events is ‘Captain’s Bizarre Adventure’. The events don’t seem to occur in chronological order.
Sacron, the Honkai Historian, is gathering all the events and trying to piece together the story. A Document with Captainverse history as pieced together by Sacron: Estimated chronological order
Below, you will find a guide to all the Captainverse events in release order. They will also be included in the main story guide, as bonus content between acts.
Alternatively, you can use these playlists created by Sacron: (Note: Sacron created the playlist, but not all the recordings)
Release Order
You can consider this a ‘prologue’ of sorts to the Captainverse series.
The Chinese version was titled ‘Summer Memories’ along with the bonus manga listed in Phase 1 in the guide, and takes place in a similar setting.
The event featured a variety of stories with different routes and stories. The ‘dating games’ see the Captain hang out with the Valkyries (no, you don’t actually get to date them), and the Valkyrie Stories give the characters short stories to explore.
The following event, ‘Sanguine Nights’, was presented as a sort of ‘special route’.
Sanguine Nights is commonly considered to be the first ‘True’ Captainverse event.
This is the first of many events that are considered part of the Captainverse, a separate continuity from the main story.
Captainverse events are not permanent, so we rely on recordings to experience them.

Her life had no meaning since its inception. She was a vat-grown marionette made for the purpose to extend her sister’s life. She was not permitted to see anyone or venture beyond her room. The only ones she could talk to were her grandfather and sleeping sister. Everything must serve grampa’s wishes and vain dreams.
She finally escaped her prison with her sister’s help. But things got a lot more complicated. She could not control her lust for blood in a world populated by humans. She hid in the darkness, afraid of her own powers, until that fateful encounter with a new… “friend”…
The “friend” showed her what the world is and things that she never seen before. She finally felt the wonders and happiness of being alive.
But nobody, not even her nor the “friend”, could expect the fateful gunshot that inevitably happened in the future.
Unfortunately, we could not find a version without extensive gameplay segments, so we’re going with the videos Sacron listed. This is probably the event with the lowest footage quality.
Note: The final video in this playlist has the ending of this event at the start, and then goes into a different event. You can exit the video at that point. The video was included in this list due to a lack of separate recordings of this event’s ending.
Note: Sacron’s list deliberately included the first video as well. ZerowingX’s video skips a chunk of the Odd Drifter story.
In the first video, watch up to around the seven minute mark. On Zerowing’s video, you’ll have a timestamp in the description to continue where you left off.

Yae Sakura… She could not recall how she received this name. She is more used to the name Kasumi, even though it is just a code.
Kasumi is a qualified ninja. She is hardhearted, ruthless, and always relentless on her missions. Her lost memories of her past wouldn’t slow her even a bit. Completing missions was the only meaning of her existence. Nothing in the world ever held her back.
Nothing… as always.
Until the day she met that girl.
For the first time in Kasumi’s life, she felt a sense of warmth. Her eyes started to see beyond the darkness.
However…

“Ah…”
She uses the power of Ether Anchor to save people from never-ending nightmares, but is feared by the world and called the witch who destroyed dreamland.
She and her companions did everything they could to save the people they ran into, but in the end, nothing remained.
Early on, she realized that, even with her best efforts, she might not be able to achieve what she set out to do.
“So why come here?” she pondered with a wry smile.
She had initially believed this was just an ordinary mission to follow and keep an eye on things. Still, she couldn’t ignore that expectant faint inner voice.
It was like ripples disturbing a tranquil lake or a new sprout emerging from arid soil.
This desire came from her heart, and had nothing to do with the mission or orders.
She carried a lamp for the ship, strolling through its dim corridors and leaving a subtle fragrance lingering in the air.
The long, dark nights had a way of inducing drowsiness, doubled by the impenetrable depths of the sea.
“Hubris…” she mused aloud.
“It seems that a bit of light may be in order here.”
“Who are you supposed to be?”
She was totally composed at the question.
“Hehe, now Kongming-sama, I thought we had an agreement.”
She had a habit of defending herself with levity, avoiding questions with grace.
Her emotions, her demeanor seemed as if they were all carefully crafted; impeccable and deeply hidden — except for that one time.
It was in the lab where she first met him.
The consciousness she had been tracking had suddenly become an independent entity. It was an unusual first meeting, and yet she knew everything about him.
It was the first time she volunteered for a mission and leave the ship.
She watched as he used consciousness mapping again and again, growing more adept over time.
She was a bystander, a record-keeper, a guardian angel. Watching him was her duty and her passion. She would travel by his side through any danger, wandering even the depths of the sea.
“So similar… hehe.”
“We’ve been together for such a long time, after all.”
She smiled. She didn’t intend on letting anyone know now.
“Remember Rosemary’s Floriograph?”
She walked down the dimly lit hallway and set down a bouquet of rosemary.
The worn-out stairs creaked with each footstep, and dust from the past was stirred on her shoulders.
The blue-violet petals were carried upon the breeze, swirling in the light and then becoming still.
It was like old times, occasionally surfacing in memory and the sinking back down into the deep sea.
This ship has completed its mission and that ship is ready to set sail.
“All the past is a prelude.”
“Rosemary is there to help with the memories. Try to remember that.”
She walked down the brightly lit corridor, clutching a bouquet of rosemary.
Spherical robots with long ears flew through the air as her young companions giggled brushing past her.
Legend has it that when a ships loses its way, its sailors are able to find their way back to land by the scent of the wind.
Upon the endless sea, the smell is a beacon for the voyagers.
On the bridge of the ship, a bouquet of rosemary flowers emitted a faint fragrance, blending into the blue and purple night and drifting with the wind to some unknown destination.
She placed the flowers into a vase and trimmed them carefully… them until she heard the sound of footsteps approaching.
Lifting up her hair from around her ears, she turned around as if she already knew who was coming and gave the same smile as always.
“Welcome back, Captain.”

Arc City never runs out of hackers and hired guns, but Haxxor Bunny is a totally different existence.
She is at least just as good as the Raven 8 years ago, and she takes any task that comes with good money. She’s an enemy you’d never want to make, but in case you did, you’d better stay clear from any digital devices, after all –
Haxxor Bunny is watching you 24/7.
Bronie is armed with equipment from her Haxxor Arsenal. Besides her SMGs and drones which she named Hare Hunters and Trackers, it also includes guided-missile launcher Crusher Bunny, sniper Biting Bunny, and HE grenade Bouncing Bunny — all created by herself with her projecting ability. With accurate data, she can project any gear in her arsenal at any time.
“This is a handy ability — saves me the trouble of gear maintenance, and I don’t need to worry about ammo cost.”
“But don’t you tell anyone that. The last thing I need is to have weirdos snooping around… You know, those crazy scientists.”
Bronie discovered her unique ability at an early age.
It was before she was adopted by Taixuan. The starving Bronie was scavenging for leftovers in the trash cans and luckily, she found a few slices of stale bread. Just when she was ready to take them back, a beggar popped up and beat her to near death. Right before it was too late, a knife fell into her hand from thin air, and she didn’t hesitate to stab the beggar in the eye with it and ran off.
Bronie still doesn’t know how or why the knife appeared magically that day.
“I was just thinking — I’m gonna die now… If only I got a knife in my hand. And there it was.”
Shattered Dimensions is a gameplay heavy event. All of its lore is communicted through text logs the player unlocks while exploring the area.
This is the first half of the multipart Finale for the Captainverse storyline.

“Meow.”
A feeble voice came from the corner.
Sirin put down the old notebook and looked at the hallway in confusion.
“Meow.”
She moved slowly toward the sound, and finally saw…
Bronie and Delta’s smug, smiling faces.
“See, I told you that she likes cats.”
“Tsk, that doesn’t prove she doesn’t like dogs.”
“Then make a doggo version of the Sirin trap next time?”
“She right here, just ask her. Sirin, do you prefer cats or dogs?”
Sirin sighed and sized up the two in front of her.
“Are you guys bored or what?”
“Says the one who locked herself in her room. I know you’re studying the Miracle Stone, but a girl’s gotta eat.”
“I don’t have time to waste on irrelevant things.”
Sirin turned to leave, but her lips couldn’t help but curl into a smile.
“… Two idiots.”
“Meow~”
A feeble voice came from the corner.
Sirin moved slowly toward the sound, and she saw a pair of…
“Ra-rabbit ears?”
Oh shoot, shouldn’t have said that out loud.
“They’re not rabbit ears, they’re fox ears,” said the long-eared girl, “Oh, right… look.”
She lifted her handkerchief, revealing a wet, closed-eyed kitten on the hem of her skirt.
“Wow, there really are kittens here! Wait a minute, the Principal said you can’t bring animals into the library, and if you’re caught, you’ll have to write an apology letter in the office.”
“But you can’t just leave it out in the rain, can you?”
“Well… that’s true.”
The purple-haired girl bit her lip and squatted next to the other girl.
“Its fur dries so slowly, I’ve been wiping it with my handkerchief and it’s still wet. Do you know any drying magic?”
“That isn’t taught until the third grade, right? I’ve read a little bit about it, but I’ve never tried it…”
“Why didn’t you tell me? Let’s try!”
“But if it fails…”
“We’ll think of something else. Come on, do it, I trust you.”
“Here goes.”
The purple-haired girl reached out her hand. In the center of her palm, a bright yellow light bloomed, enveloping the wet kitten.
A few moments later, the shivering kitten finally opened its eyes.
“Huh? Its eyes are yellow, exactly like yours!”
“…”
“Fortunately it worked. But aren’t you worried that I’ll tell the teacher?”
“Hehehe, not at all. I can feel that you’re just as desperate to help this kitten as I am.”
“… Sounds like blind trust.”
“It’s not blind! And you look familiar… The name’s TeRiRi, and you?”
“I’m Sirin.”
“Sirin… Huh? Is it the lonely Sirin who always sits in the last row in class and runs off to the library after school?”
“I-I don’t go to the library that often… Hey, what’s with the ‘lonely Sirin’?”
“Well… ehehehe~”
The long-eared girl pulled her ears awkwardly.
“By the way, do you want to pet it?”
The purple-haired girl nodded and carefully straightened a finger to touch the kitten’s little fluffy head for the first time.
“It’s so soft, and warm… Ouch!”
“It bit me!”
“Shhhh! Keep it down, Sirin, or the teachers will find out. Now we’re in the same boat.”
“Gotcha, Sirin! Come here and let me squeeze you!”
“N-no!”
“Okay, Vollerei, don’t bully her.”
Despite saying that, the gray-haired girl also pinched Sirin’s puffed cheeks twice.
“Nervous, you two? We’re attacking the Dark Castle tonight.”
“I feel happy! I’m so lucky to be grouped with my senpais on my first mission.”
“Terri… aren’t you too optimistic?”
“After all, if I get nervous, Sirin will get even more scared! By the way, you’ll never guess that she stayed up all night packing yesterday. She even stuffed a backpack with healing potions like a kid excited for a field trip.”
“Hey! Don’t tell!”
“Hee hee~”
The long-eared girl stuck out her tongue.
“No wonder your school bag is bulging. It looks heavy.”
The gray-haired girl curiously patted Sirin’s backpack, but was surprised to hear a disgruntled protest coming from inside.
“Meow~”
“Wow, you brought the kitten with you.”
“This operation may go on for a long time, are you sure you want to bring it along? The Dark Castle’s a dangerous place.”
The black-haired girl put away her smile and gazed at Sirin seriously.
“I know. But I can’t leave it alone at home, so I’m going to take it to the Lavinia Library and ask the Principal to help take care of it.”
“Wait a minute, you mean… Principal Cecilia who forbids bringing animals into the library? She agreed to take care of the kitten for you?”
“Yeah, since the Lavinia Library is the safest place… I think.”
“It’ll be fine! With the Principal here, no magical creatures would be able to break in.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Then let’s go there together, we haven’t seen the Principal and Miss Shigure for a long time. We should say goodbye to them.”
“Say goodbye… Broboli Senpai, that’s an…”
Sirin stopped talking.
“Ominous way to put it.”
The black-haired girl added.
After a short silence, the long-eared girl casually threw her arms around the two others.
“Hee hee, what does it matter? Let’s go to the Lavinia Library!”

“I never told you that, did I? In the past, the few times my sister was awake, we would play hide and seek.”
“My sister was in charge of seeking and I was in charge of hiding. Even though the room wasn’t very big, I could always think of places to hide — gaps between bookshelves, behind curtains, hidden stacks of books…”
“Of course, my sister was always quick at finding where I was hiding.”
“She said she’d give me a special gift if I won.”
“Back then, no one had ever promised me something like that before; I was so happy and excited I didn’t even think about how big a deal it must have been for her to promise that.”
“Now that I think about it…”
“Every game of hide-and-seek is like an exercise in escaping from that cage.”
“That day, I hid in the coffin, put a dark velvet cushion over my body and waited for my sister to find me.”
“She searched for a long time and even called the guards, telling them I was missing. I wanted to get up and tell my sister where I was, but she held my hand down through that velvet cushion.”
“There were muffled footsteps and alarms blaring. My sister told me to hide in her cloak, and she said the game wasn’t over yet, and no matter what happened, I couldn’t make a sound.”
“I couldn’t see what was going on outside; I could only follow her footsteps. She didn’t walk fast, but she seemed unusually determined.”
“It wasn’t until those voices were far in the distance that my sister breathed a sigh of relief. I can still remember her whole body shaking.”
“She said… ‘Now you can open your eyes and see the world just like from your books.'”
“… I would go on to see all sorts of places.”
“Restaurants, amusement parks, seashores, game centers, ferris wheels… But it was all nothing without you by my side. My heart would always feel empty; I couldn’t get over how nice it would be to have you there too.”
“But there was no time to be sad. Someone had just taught me a cruel truth. I thought of every way I could hide from it, but it was always useless.”
“Why should I be at the mercy of these so-called rules, why is the story of Theresa always destined to be a tragedy? I’ve never believed in fate, if I’m going to keep you safe, I have to do something about it.”
“… I’m willing to do whatever it takes to keep you alive.”
“So, in that game of hide-and-seek, I went from the one hiding to the one seeking.”
“I found them and saw so many possible Theresas.”
“They were kind and sincere, and should have had an infinite tomorrow, but they were all bound by rules. Even though they were destined to be victims of fate, the Theresas never gave up hope.”
“So, I’m the same.”
“I won’t give up on myself, I won’t hide in a corner and cry in secret, I won’t paralyze myself with memories of better times.”
“This time, it’s my turn to fight back.”
“I’m gonna be the most amazing Theresa yet, the great villain that ends it all.”
“Going against fate, going against these absurd rules…”
“All for one person.”
“And then later… I returned to the place where we first met, laying down one lie after another.”
“After everything was set up, I disclosed my coordinates to Hyperion.”
“I know you’ve been looking for me for a long time, so I wanted to give this story the best ending I could.”
“I was determined to leave quietly, for you to never, ever find me, all while secretly looking forward to meeting you again, hoping that one day I would be able to hold your hand and take a good look at you once more.”
“I know it’s a contradiction, but in a way, it’s like hide-and-seek, never making an appearance until just the last moment.”
“I’ve become the one hiding again. Only this time, I’m happy.”
“It’s like being a child again, everything is easier. Just be patient and hide without making a sound, and then the game is over. You don’t have to risk your life for me anymore, you can finally embrace your future.”
“I can’t believe I lost in the end.”
“I almost did win, but I couldn’t help it, I know all about your persistence, your tenderness, your pain. You’re still the same person you were at the beginning, you haven’t changed one bit after all this time.”
“I saw you running as hard as you could, just to fulfill the promise you made. I realized that what you want is a future with me.”
“You’re so special to me, how can I just ignore what your heart truly wants?”
She raised her head and the moonlight reflected in her eyes.
“Okay, I’m done with my story.”
“Too short? But you already know the rest. You’re the one that rewrote my destiny, and from now on, we are intertwined, and nothing can separate us.”
“Now it’s your turn. I’m dying to know more about your story, so why don’t you tell me?”
