Campaign 1 – Baptism

Set Up

In the bottom left of the screen, go to the Campaigns Surface. There, you will find Campaign 1 – Baptism.

 

At the top, you see ‘Dark Space’ and  ‘Event’ tokens. Shuffle each stack.

 

Below it you see two prepared collections of Campaign materials. These are the Adventure Tokens, Mission Cards, Enemies, related cards, and Items.

The number on the right represents the Act the materials are for.

 

From the stacks you just shuffled, add 5 Dark Space and 5 Event tokens to each Act.

Then, grab the current Act by the black handle (left of the Act number) and copy the collection.

 

Move to the Adventure board and paste the collection in the middle.

 

When an Act is complete, delete the materials you no longer need. Keep the Items and Mission Cards, as they may carry over into the next Act. Then copy the collection for the next Act to the Adventure board.

World 14 – Goethe Hub

You arrive at World 14. A small bubble world known for its commercial contents. A hub of hotels in every price range, and sprawling markets with goods and trinkets from all over.

As you walk through the bustling streets, you wonder if whoever stole the Red Eye might have intended to sell it off somewhere in this market. If that is the case, it may become nigh impossible to find it.

World 15 – Barren Green

You arrive at World 15. It’s not a very stable world. Like a piece of paper dissolving in water, data is constantly leaking in all directions, contaminating the surrounding Sea.

It’s unclear how this world has maintained a semblance of its form. You would’ve expected it to pop, breaking to pieces in but a moment’s time.

It’s populated by Hilichurls and all sorts of other creatures. Bar for a small settlement of stubborn locals who refuse to leave. Occasionally, visitors such as yourself grace the settlement. You are received with tremendous hospitality.

The Queen’s Landing

Queen Sirin of the Void Assembly is visiting Schicksal Headquarters. The crew is tuning in to watch the ceremony. With this many screens on in the ship, energy costs are ramping up.

Hilichurl Operation

The team has found a peculiar space filled with Hilichurl Shades. Curious, you’ve decided to observe them. They are idling around an object, but you can’t see what it is.

 

Option 1: Let’s try to talk to them!

 

Option 2: Time to leave.

As you approach the Hilichurls, they instantly turn hostile.

Toy Merchant

You cross paths with a small ship. You open coms, and the ship’s owner introduces himself as a Toy Merchant. He claims to have lost his Homu Doll, which was stolen by Hilichurls.

Option 1: I don’t trust this guy. You’re under arrest!

Option 2: None of my business.

You try to place the man under arrest. His ship is too weak to resist, so he surrenders. However, when he comes out of the elevator, he’s accompanied by hostile mechs!

With the mechs down, you have him locked up in the brig. You call in the incident to Central Intelligence. Indeed, the man is wanted for stealing a MacGuffin!

Two fans of the band Murata and the Himekos are having a discussion over what’s better, Coffee or Beer.

A crew member got angry after losing an online game against the infamous Haxx0r Bunny. He got so upset he had to be confined. His ruckus is upsetting the security drone.

You find a weapons merchant camping out in the Sea. A grey haired woman with small round sunglasses. She dodges any questions about why she’s out here, and instead gestures towards her wares. All legal, she promises.

You sailed into a storm of chaotic data. The laws of physics are torn to pieces. Your eyes shatter glass with their fingers and your deepest secret turns into a dog.

Scanners detect the remains of a broken world. Its remnants are scattered, and difficult to discern. Whatever remains of it is soon to dissolve into the Ether beyond recognition.

Concentrated Honkai Energy Blast

Your stomach churns as the ship is hit abruptly by a strong blast. It appears to be a rogue clot of Honkai Energy.

You lose 1 energy. All female characters take 5 True Dice damage. All other characters take 7 True Dice damage.

Lost Treasure

You notice a ship similar to your own. Unfortunately, it seems to have succumbed to the erratic nature of the Sea of Quanta. It is barely a ship anymore. More like a metal carcass.

You manage to scavenge some materials from it.

Welcome to the Froth, operator. You have been placed in charge of expeditions of the Schicksal Alternate World Collective Explorers (SAWCE) Fleet. Please choose and treat your Captain, Crew and On-board AI with care and respect. They are your lifeline in the rampant Chaos.

 

You are about to enter dangerous territory. The Froth is a network of connected Bubble Worlds. Every world is volatile. Tread with caution. Overseer Theresa has placed her faith in you.

 

Your first mission is simple: A Macguffin called ‘the Red Eye’ was stolen from World 17. Your task is to retrieve it. Central Investigations has traced the Macguffin to Uncharted Sector 1. Please proceed to the Sector and await further orders. As you wait, you may explore freely. Dismissed.

Campaign - Raptor's Last Dance

Central Intelligence - Janitor

We have received some news. The Red Eye has severe corrosive capabilities, and the unfortunate side effect of attracting certain types of monsters.

 

It was stolen by the Raptor of Sector 7. The thief may have been sneaky, but it is unlikely he survived the prolonged exposure to the Macguffin. He left a paper trail, and are thought to have gone deeper into Sector 5. We’ve narrowed down the location. Please proceed and retrieve the Macguffin.

There have been reports of Trotter sightings in Sector 5. We’d like to retrieve them for investigation. You will be paid proportionate to the effort, so please defeat a Trotter for retrieval.

Inspection

We’ve strayed off course, a bit too close to the border with Charted Sector 4. We crossed paths with a patrol ship, and now they sent their inspector on board for a routine check up.

 

A short woman walks through the ship corridors. Her split pink-purple hair contrasts against her jet black uniform. An eye patch is slightly concealed by the bangs covering one side of her round face, accompanied by the two ends of a long scar. Her posture is strangely flamboyant, and her figure thin but robust. If you didn’t know any better, you might have confused her for an effeminate man.

 

‘This place smells like crap,’ she says as she walks through the corridor. She taps the air vents. ‘Whatever installation you have here for air purification, it’s not up to code.’

 

She writes a notice and shoves it in your hands.

‘After your mission, report to Central and have it fixed. If I don’t see this ship pop up on the repair schedule, there will be hell to pay.’

 

You watch as Inspector Mal writes a long checklist of everything she thinks is wrong with your ship. She soon runs out of paper, and lets out an exaggerated grunt. As she and her inspection team leave the ship, she kicks the doorframe for no discernible reason. It seems you somehow made her angry.

Scanner Results

We’ve identified the location of the Red Eye. When your team is ready, proceed to the location!

Raptor retreated to an indiscriminate unstable space with a skiff. Be careful! This space can collapse, taken anything inside with it. It’s also very attractive for certain kinds of monsters in this area.

 

Keep this token on the board. You may continue to explore first. When all players are ready, you may proceed to the Finale of the Act.

Raptor’s Last Dance

The landing team manages to trace the Red Eye to a small cottage in a forested bubble world.

 

Around it lie the bodies of natives, clad in mediaeval village clothing. Upon entering the cottage, the team find the Red Eye sitting on a table, seemingly innocuous. If not for the torn remains of the man beside it. It seems the Raptor of Sector 7 has met his end.

 

Suddenly, loud growling resounds through the cottage. It seems that the creatures that killed Raptor are still around.

 

Defeat the BOSS. If players fail to defeat the boss, this Campaign is failed. If players defeat the boss, proceed to the Epilogue.

Red Eye returned

All’s well that ends well. After safely extracting the Landing Party, you managed to return the lost MacGuffin to the hands of Schicksal.

An envoy with Raptor’s remains was sent to the Klein institute for an autopsy. You and your crew received commendation for your efforts.

Unfortunately, the next mission will have to wait a bit. An angry report from Inspector Mal left the ship grounded at the station for the next few weeks to come. But on the bright side, perhaps this could be an opportunity to install some upgrades alongside the repairs.
